I recently picked up the game from Humble Bundle and redeemed it on Steam.  I was really digging the game, got up to level 65, got all my gear, found all the secrets, opened all the chests, etc.  I was trying to round out the last few feats, and while looking in guides and such, I kept seeing references to items, biomes, etc. that I had never seen.  I thought that perhaps I just hadn't gotten whatever skill or building that unlocked them yet.  But eventually it became clear that there was nothing else to unlock or construct and I still hadn't seen any of these materials or places.

So, yeah.  A bit of googling made it clear that I was stuck at version 2.0.4 because I installed it on Linux, not realizing that Linux support had been dropped some time ago and was now several versions out of date.

Is it possible to just copy my savegame over to a Windows machine and pick up where I left off?  I'm curious to see the new content, but I am not at all keen on the idea of repeating the grind I just did to get back up to where I was.  Given the apparent changes to the skill tree and whatnot, I'm guessing it's not, but a guy's gotta hope, right?

Also, I don't want to break anyone's balls about dropping Linux support, I know programming isn't always easy or simple.  And I understand the reasoning for leaving the last existing Linux version installable for people that already purchased it.  But could it perhaps get a minor update to add a splashscreen during startup warning that it is out-of-date and unsupported?  I really wish I would have known about this situation from the beginning, so I could have just played it on Windows in the first place.
